Flower-arranging for people with dementia

This week, I got to know the wonderful charity that is The Flower Bank in North London.
1

Founded by Ursula Stone, The Flower Bank recycle unwanted flowers from supermarkets, corporate events, weddings and funerals.

Ursula’s on a mission to spread the joy beyond flowers’ sell by date, and does so through flower-arranging workshops. Back in 2019, she worked with young-offenders, and saw how much they enjoyed being creative, forgetting about the wider world for an hour or two. Inspired to help more, Ursula now runs workshops for people with dementia.

All of The Flower Bank’s activities are crowd-funded and the workshops are free. But their worth is clear. Hope you enjoy the video!
